A little about Bo....
Bo Kauffmann was born in Dusseldorf, W.Germany and moved to Canada in 1974 with his parents and sister. Shortly after graduating from High School, and after a short stint as an electrical apprentice at the Transcona C.N.R. shops, Bo joined the Winnipeg Police Force in January 1981. Bo always jokes that shortly after joining the police, they raised their entrance standards, having learned from their mistakes. Bo recalls :" I was 20 yrs old, they gave us 5 months worth of training, handed us a gun and said 'go fight crime and evil'. Bo spent the first 7 years in Dist. 4 (Transcona-EK-NK).
In November 1984, he and his partner received a call from a citizen, reporting that a dog had fallen thru the icy Red River at the rear of Henderson Hwy and Valhalla Dr. Secured by a rope, Bo crawled out onto the thinning ice and pulled the cocker spaniel to safety. After re-uniting the fortunate dog with his elderly (and very appreciative) owner, Bo received an award from the Winnipeg Humane Society.
During his 24-year career, Bo worked in various uniform divisions, plain-clothed investigative division, became a Training Officer and Scene-of-Crime officer (Fingerprint crime scenes). He retired in January 2005, and went to work at REMAX performance realty at 942 St Marys Rd. where he feels he found his true calling. "I was a good police officer, but feel I'm a great real estate agent."
Bo started as a licensed assistant to another agent (and friend) where he learned the business. After 2 years, Bo went on his own in January 2007, but remained with REMAX performance realty. He feels that working for the greatest real estate company in Canada (REMAX) was important.
Bo has won real estate awards every year since 2007, usually the REMAX Platinum Club award and the Winnipeg REALTORS® Bronze Medallion.
In 2011 Bo was inducted into the REMAX Hall of Fame. He sells between 40 and 60 homes per year in Winnipeg.
Bo Kauffmann believes in giving back.
He is a supporter of the Canadian Museum for Human RIghts.
He also supports the Childrens Miracle Network, giving donations from every home or condo sold. "REMAX is a huge supporter of the C.M.N., financially supporing hospitals for sick children. They have raised millions of dollars across Canada, and I am very proud to be a small part of that."
He is a Foundation Builder of the Manitoba Real Estate Association Shelter Foundation, a charity which supports shelter-related causes.
Why should you hire Bo Kauffmann to buy or
sell your home or condo?
"I am a one-man operation. I do not run a team and am directly and personally involved in every aspect of marketing your home, or finding your next house or condo. I feel that my clients hired me......and they will want to deal with me... not my assistants or secretaries. That way, if something does require attention, they know with whom they will be dealing."
Superior Marketing Plan
"The MLS® is very powerful and effective, so of course, your home will be featured there. But in addition, your property will be featured on dozens of web sites and in printed media." It's all designed to get your home as much exposure as possible.
"I will make sure that your home looks it's best on the internet. You just don't get a second chance to make a first impression. For me, that usually means hiring a professional photographer to photograph and/or videotape your home."
"I publish a monthly market report, for which I take a closer look at sales, listings and expired properties. As far as I know, I am the only REALTOR® who publishes a podcast, both in audio-only, and in video version. Both are available on I-Tunes.
Whether you a buying or selling, a house or a condo in Winnipeg, you can count on Bo Kauffmann to get the job done right..... because "Bo Knows Real Estate"
